Timeline: June 2023 – December 2025
From June 2023 to January 2025, and again from October to December 2025, I served as a long-term content partner for Buoy through an SEO agency. Over this multi-year engagement, I wrote across nearly every corner of the brand, from foundational website copy to high-volume SEO content to a specialized chronic illness education series.
Buoy isn’t a single-product brand. Their catalog includes unflavored electrolytes, trace minerals, digestion support, brain health, energy, immunity, rescue salts, and their Rainforest Wild Foods line. My work supported the growth of this ecosystem through clear, science-aware, conversion-focused content.
I collaborated directly with the agency owner, Buoy’s founder, and senior leadership to align content with product launches, clinical claims, and the needs of the chronic illness community.
My content supported an SEO strategy that helped Buoy rank #1 for their primary keyword “hydration drops” within six months, double organic traffic, and generate $290,000 in organic revenue within the first year.
The brand also moved from barely ranking for their own brand name to owning the top positions, which became a major driver of sales. This growth was fueled by consistent, high-quality content across hydration, minerals, chronic illness education, and product-focused search intent.
Through two years of collaboration, my work helped strengthen Buoy’s authority in hydration, electrolytes, and chronic illness education. The brand saw measurable improvements in organic traffic, search visibility, and on-site management.
Product pages became clearer and more conversion-focused, educational content became a trusted resource for chronic illness communities, and the overall content ecosystem supported multi-six-figure growth from organic search.
Together, we built a content foundation that helped Buoy compete confidently in a crowded supplement market and connect more deeply with the people they serve.
